As it’s made from a natural product, no 2 boards are ever the same and therefore each board is unique, the look and feel is of natural wood. Fully CE, ISO9001, ISO14001 & FSC certified. Self Sustaining and Regenerating, Moso bamboo reaches maturity within 5-7 years, whereas hardwood timbers take between 40-80 years.

Strandwoven Bamboo flooring is an extremely durable due to the hardness achieved during the compression of our bamboo. There are 3 main factors when considering the durability of your bamboo flooring:

1. Structure – Strandwoven bamboo flooring is over twice the density of Vertical and Horizontal bamboo flooring. This is due to the compression during manufacturing. The density also makes it dimensionally more stable than Vertical & Horizontal bamboo flooring. We only supply Strandwoven bamboo flooring.
2. Species of bamboo – We only use Moso bamboo to manufacture our flooring
3. Age of the bamboo – Our bamboo is harvested when it’s between 5-7 years

Superior Strandwoven Bamboo flooring is made from “A” Grade Moso Bamboo.  It takes between 5-7 years for the bamboo to reach maturity before it is harvested. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing grasses (Yes, technically it’s a grass!). It is self sustaining and regenerates new shoots from it’s own root system.

Superior Bamboo Flooring is supplied as a Pre-Finished floor board with a Unilin licensed locking system (European patented locking system). No glue is required for installation as the flooring is installed as a “floating floor” over a moisture barrier (we recommend Superior Underlay – beware of imitations). A traditional Tongue & Groove (Glued/Nailed installation) board is available in certain ranges for suspended flooring installations or as an alternative floating floor option.

Bamboo Flooring is a prefinished hardwood flooring solution. The finish is a German “Treffert” finish. The finish is applied during manufacturing to guarantee the best application and a long life span. The finish includes aluminum oxide wear layer to boost abrasion resistance.

Bamboo wood is a Hypoallergenic – Less likely to cause allergic reactions. Bamboo Flooring is made using less than 0.02ppm (parts per million) VOC’s, considerably less than world standards and has an E0 rating.

Bamboo is a Natural insulator, when installed with our Superior Underlay, it significantly reduces the need for heating. The density of the Superior Strandwoven flooring means that it is extremely sound absorbant. As a solid, natural wood flooring board, the look and feel achieved brings elegance and sophistication to all areas.
